The department trains the undergraduate students in the basic principle governing the use of drugs, thus allowing a rational use of medication. Animal experiments are used in showing the effects of drugs like analgesics, anticonvulsants , anaesthetic agents, muscle relaxants, antiarryhythmic , antihistaminics, etc to students. The department has well equipped experimental pharmacology and pharmacy Lab. The departmental library has large number of latest edition books and journals.
